CAST IRON AND CAST STEEL

We produce castings in grey cast iron, ductile cast iron, alloy cast iron, carbon and alloy cast steel, corrosion- and wear-resistant cast steel. At the customer's request, we are able to carry out mechanical machining of castings and metals, as well as spray-paint castings.

A company with a long tradition

The company Zakład odlewniczy Książnice Małe ltd. (formerly Zakład odlewniczy c.o.) is a company with a long tradition. The company was founded in 1987. Initially it dealt with cast iron castings of radiators.

At present, we produce castings of grey cast iron, ductile cast iron, alloy cast iron, carbon cast steel, alloy cast steel, corrosion- and wear-resistant cast steel with a maximum weight of up to 1,000 kg. We make cast iron and steel castings to individual customer orders according to the technical documentation received.

In addition, we carry out mechanical machining of castings and metals using machines such as: lathes, milling machines, boring machines, drilling machines and others. On request, we are also able to spray-paint castings.

What makes us different from other companies?

1. Experience

Our company has been manufacturing various types of iron and steel castings continuously since 1987. Currently, we operate as a limited liability company, whereas previously it was a civil partnership (NIP: 6620050917).

2. We undertake complex tasks

Because of our experience, as well as our knowledge, we are able to take on complex projects that other companies are unwilling to undertake. We take an individual approach to each client and our offer is comprehensive.

Steel castings

We produce castings from cast steel, which is a multi-component iron-carbon alloy. In cast steel, the carbon concentration is below 1.5%. The main advantage of cast steel is undoubtedly its easy weldability. Other advantages include: good machinability, strength, resistance to compression, loads, corrosion, high temperatures. Steel is used in the automotive industry - mainly for machine parts, gears, pump rotors, pressure parts, in the mining industry, in the coking industry, etc.

Cast iron castings

We manufacture cast iron castings, which is a high-carbon casting alloy that is formed from pig iron and scrap metal (carbon content ranges from 2.11 to 4.3%). Other elements such as manganese, phosphorus, sulphur, etc. can be added to cast iron. We use various types of cast iron for production. Each of them has different technical parameters. One type is grey cast iron. Its advantages are: machinability, good machinability and excellent casting properties. Another type is ductile cast iron. It has high strength comparable to cast steel.

Industrial valves

The industrial fittings on offer are distinguished by their wide range of applications, e.g. in coking plants, the power industry or the petrochemical industry. Our company prepares standardised as well as maximally customised products - in accordance with customers' wishes. The presence of seals and the ability to choose the right material increases the safety and reliability of operation, and on top of this, extends the life of the investment.

Machining

We have specialised in machining for years. We are able to modify the shape and size of metal components so that they acquire the chemical-physical and external properties specified by our customers. During our work, we use various machining methods to ensure perfect precision and short lead times.
